There may not be a logical reason as to why your wife got an RFE for Medical and not you.
I had a similar situation. I got an RFE for photos for AP application. But my wife did not get one. We had both got our pictures taken and processed at the same location. There was no issue with quality of photo either.
Now we both have our AP. I do not care why she did not get an RFE.
Maybe if you explain the details of the RFE someone may be able to discuss about it.
Without details asking why did you not receive RFE does not make sense.

Maybe you should combine his/her statement with body language. Did the IO raise the eyebrows, smirk, frown etc and word-smith the statement. Was it 'pre-adjudicated' (past tense) or 'will be pre-adjudicated' (future tense) or something else. 'pre-adjudicated under review', first half is contradicting the second half of the statement. 'Pre-adjudicated' could mean everything is clear and waiting for a visa number. 'Under review' could mean something else...additional review ?
Kidding apart, Your guess is as good as mine. Do not tie yourself up in knots. It is such a black box, you've been around these forums, nobody knows for sure, anybody can hazard a guess.

By law, you need to notify change of address within 10 days of your move.
DISCLAIMER: I am not an Attorney and this is not a legal advice.
Just a suggestion, if you don't want to update your case status now (aka "rock the boat"), then you can commute/telecommute from old address till sept 1.

"date of actual move"
I understand the 10-day rule, but when does the clock start?
The date of lease starting or the date of actual move.....ideally these shouldnt be too far apart, but in my case they will be, hence the confusion.

Our leaders promises are meaningless if they dont turn their rhetoric into concrete actions and legislation. President Obama, Congress, and the bureaucracy in Washington DC have not delivered the action America needs. Were marching on May 1st to show them, and the world, that were not going to let them get away with it.
VERY TRUE! These politicians need to be held accountable for their talks and no actions, and if this march is going to help in that direction, then we should do it.

I was curious to know if LC/140/485 will be processed simultaneously or if they will be processed one after the other. If latter, what might be the approx time taken in NSC for LC and 140. I understand that it's difficult to predict the time for 485.
U mention what u have filed and what u r expecting.
I think almost everyone has filed 485/140/EAD/AP.
I am just curious what exactly you want to know. Do you want to know when you will get your GC or about the receipts.
If you are looking for receipts, there is a thread going on for July filers by the name "July Trackers".
If you want to know when you will get your GC then i am sorry to say, even GOD cannot give you an idea.
I hope this helps.
Meanwhile, please work on some action items and your wait will become more easier.

My wife will apply for H1 this April. I also have some questions:
1. can she transfer her H1 to another company before she starts to work for the company which sponsors her H1B?
2. if she does not want to join the sponsoring company, can she transfer back to H4 after getting H1B approval but before Oct. 1st? Under this circumstance, is she subject to H1 quota in the future?

Vishwak,
Thanks for the quick reply. For your answer to Question2.. my employer and some suggests not to file Ac21. just for the record sake i would send them a note that i would come back to the sponsoring company.
Do you think it is an option not to file Ac21 and still manage ? or will there be any issues for not filing ? any way i have to go back to the sponsor when its time...

Hi,
I have applied for Canadian PR (AINP) and would like to know after getting canadian PR,will it possible for H4 and H1 person to work for Canada based company by staying in US or not?
I think I am not impacting US labor or anything. I will be working for Canadian company from US. I will be getting Salary / Tax deduction in Canada.
Thanks,
Akshay

Can I go-ahead and file now and include my Wife later into the I-485, in about 4 months time.
I think you are ok. Nobody got I-485 approval in 4 months. So, don't worry. You can apply anytime before your 485 gets approved.

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.
Hope this helps !!
hi raj1998,
I did pay $340 as I had applied in March 2008...now I am up for renewal...so I was hoping that I dont hace to pay any money since I had applied my first EAD with the new fee structure..
do you think you have to pay $340 when you are up for renewal next year?
Hope this helps !!

To say the least, this is a very strange way of saying that...they just mailed you your Approval Notice! This is just my understanding.
Anyway, you should get something in the mail very soon: let us now what it is!

The site appears to be latest. And here is the content
------------------------------------------------------
Who Can Apply in Mexico
* Applicants seeking to renew their C1/D, D, F, H, I, J, L, M, O, P and R visas, if the initial visa was issued in the applicant's home country or at one of the border posts in the past few years.
I guess, if your first visa was issued in the home country, you should be ok to renew before it expires
Notice: Certain visa applicants may be subject to additional administrative processing. This administrative processing may last weeks, thus delaying visa delivery and the applicant's return to the United States. Every effort will be made to expedite these procedures; however, it is not possible to guarantee completion of this process by a particular date.
PIMS !!!
------------------------------------------------------
Who Cannot Apply in Mexico:
* Applicants for B1/2 visas, including renewals are not accepted from third country nationals who are not resident in Mexico.
* Applicants who entered the U.S. with a visa issued in their home country and changed status with Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. who seek a new visa in the new visa category
I guess, this may be the visas expired, continuing on valid I-797 and trying to get new visa on the same category, I am not sure, difficult to interpret
* Applicants who entered the United States in one visa category and are seeking to re-enter the U.S. in a different visa category.
I guess, if you change from F to H, you may be in this category, I am not sure, difficult to interpret
* Applicants who have been out of status in the U.S. having violated the terms of their visas or having overstayed the validity indicated on their I-94s.
* Applicants who entered the U.S. under the auspices of the Visa Waiver Program.
* Applicants who obtained their current visa in a country other than that of their legal residence.
* PLEASE NOTE: If you were informed when you obtained the original visa in your home country that you are subject to National Security Entry Exit Registrations (NSEERs), are a national of North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Sudan or Iran, you are not eligible to renew your visa in Mexico.
*TCN Visa Renewals– Before deciding to apply at a consular section in Mexico, third country nationals should keep in mind that traveling to the country may require the appropriate Mexican visa from a Mexico’s embassy or consulate before making the trip. Potential applicants should be sure they have a visa, if necessary, and are prepared to wait several days in Mexico while their visa is being processed.
